CS2ʼs average player count drops below one million

Average monthly player count of Counter-Strike 2 has declined over the past month. In April 2026, the game’s average player count dropped by 8.83% (nearly 100,000 players) compared to the previous month.

Peak player numbers also decreased compared to March, falling from 1.717 million to 1.564 million users, according to data from Steam Charts.

Notably, several updates were released for Counter-Strike 2 in April, including both minor and big patches. One of them reworked animations, while another introduced the map Cache to the game.
