Thomas retires from pro CS

28-year-old British esports athlete Thomas "Thomas" Utting announced his retirement from pro Counter-Strike 2. Utting also revealed his search for a team as an analyst/head coach/assistant coach. He posted this via his X social media account.

I'm officially retiring from playing and plan to start coaching. I accomplished the goals I set in 2016 and now want to try something new. 10+ years Playing, Playoffs at the Major, International and national xp.

This is a necessary new chapter I want to pursue. Competing has been the biggest part of my life and I love it,my individual ability and passion to continue competing stopped,so I want to redefine myself and my experiences from playing and concentrate on supporting + coaching.

Thomas has competed on the pro Counter-Strike 2 scene since 2016, earning $87,000 in prize money. During his career, Thomas represented Into the Breach, Endpoint, Envy, and others. His previous team was Nemesis, which he departed in January of this year.
