Open CS2 LAN tournament announced in China

XSE has announced an open Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament, which will take place from March 26 to April 5, 2026, in Shanghai, China. The event will be open to teams from around the world and will be a Tier 2 event within the VRS.

Registration for the event will be open from March 13 to 16 (entry fee: $500). The four teams with the highest VRS ratings from those who register will be seeded directly into the competition playoffs. The tournament will feature 24 squads; direct invites are not available.

The event will be divided into three parts: Play-In (Round Robin, March 26-27), Group Stage (Double Elimination, March 28-29), and Playoffs (Double Elimination, April 1-5). Only the last stage will be held on LAN.

The total prize pool of GangKui Cup Season 2 will range from $10,000 (for fewer than 16 registered rosters) to $15,000 (for 17 to 24 rosters).
