mir returns to Virtus.pro

Esports organization Virtus.pro announced the signing of Nikolay "mir" Bityukov, who played for the squad from July 2023 to April 2024, after which he spent another six months on the club's bench. In September 2024, the 30-year-old Russian esports athlete became a free agent and has been inactive since.

Bityukov will take over as am IGL of Virtus.pro's main Counter-Strike 2 roster, a role previously held by Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, whom the organization benched and placed on the transfer list in early February.

The club also announced that two other main CS2 roster players, Vadim "tO0RO" Arkov and Vladimir "b1st" Krasikov, will compete at upcoming WEX Season 1 and CIS LAN Championship #3 as part of VP.Prodigy. However, their permanent departures from the main squad have not been announced.

Notably, several days ago, Virtus.pro also benched Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev and Petr "fame" Bolyshev and put them up for transfer.
