CCT announces 2026 tournament structure

Organizers of the Counter-Strike 2 CCT series have announced the structure of their 2026 competitive cycle, unveiling a system that will allow promising teams to compete for the CCT Europe trophy.

The tournament operator will host a total of 34 competitions across three divisions: Regular CCT Europe, Challengers Europe, and Contenders Europe. The lowest tier, Contenders, will feature 16 teams, which will be fully determined for the first four tournaments through two open qualifiers. The prize pool will amount to $2,500 (plus two spots in the next Challengers tournament).

Starting with Series 5-10, the two teams from the open qualifiers will be joined by 14 squads invited based on Valve's ranking. Each Challengers event will feature a $5,000 prize pool and two berths in the main CCT Europe division. All squads will receive invites either through Valve's ranking or by qualifying through the Contenders division.

The main CCT Europe cycle will continue unchanged in 2026: 16 tournaments will be held throughout the year, each with a $25,000 prize pool. A total of 36 invites will be issued, distributed among the Play-In, Group Stage, and Playoffs.
