Virtus.pro benches Perfecto
Esports organization Virtus.pro has officially announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The club has benched Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy and put him on the transfer list. The official statement reads:
The decision was made due to results that did not meet the expectations of the fans, the management, or the players themselves. After joint discussions, Virtus.pro’s management and Perfecto concluded that in the current configuration the roster is unable to build consistent performances and fully realize its potential.
Virtus.pro would like to thank Ilya for his professionalism and dedication, which he consistently demonstrated throughout his time with the team.
During the search for a new IGL and the optimal roster configuration, Virtus.pro will temporarily suspend participation in CS2 tournaments in order to conduct a series of trial games. This pause is necessary to carefully assess the next steps and make optimal roster decisions. VP.Prodigy and VP.Future will continue competing as usual.
Zalutskiy joined the squad last June. Perfecto was Virtus.pro's IGL. Previously, he competed for Cloud9 and NAVI.
Virtus.pro currently sits 88th in Valve's ranking of the world's strongest Counter-Strike 2 teams. The roster recently placed 13th-16th at a small Moscow LAN tournament Exort Cataclysm CIS Season 1, losing to RUSTEC and WW.
Virtus.pro are now:
Petr "fame" Bolyshev
Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev
Vadim "tO0RO" Arkov
Vladimir "b1st" Krasikov
Dmitriy "ProbLeM" Martinov (coach)
