Average player count in Counter-Strike 2 once again exceeds one million users

Average monthly player count in Counter-Strike 2 has increased again over the past month. In January 2026, the average online player count grew by 8% (almost 80,000 users) compared to the previous month. This is the highest number since June 2023.

The peak player count in January also grew compared to December, from 1.620 million to 1.654 million users. The statistics were provided by the analytics service Steam Charts.

Notably, Counter-Strike 2 released several updates in December. In one of them, the developers launched the fourth season of Premier, updated several weapons, and returned Anubis to the map pool.
