MaiL09 joins Alliance
16-year-old Swedish esports athlete Liam "MaiL09" Tügel has become the newest member of Alliance's Counter-Strike 2 roster. He joined the squad on a loan deal from Metizport until the end of the current season. The official statement was published on the club's X social media account.
MaiL09 represented Metizport from July to December last year, after which the club benched and replaced him with Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora.
Tügel recently won the sixth season of FACEIT in Counter-Strike 2 in the European region, ending Danil "donk" Kryshkovets' five-season winstreak.
On the Alliance roster MaiL09 replaced Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren, who was recently acquired by 100 Thieves. Alliance currently sits 42nd in Valve's world ranking.
Alliance are:
Arvid "avid" Åberg
Simon "twist" Eliasson
Markus "upE" Johansson
Sean "eraa" Knutsson
Liam "MaiL09" Tügel
Simon "Hawk" Vävinggren (coach)
