sh1ro enters top 5 of best CS2 players of 2025

Team Spirit's Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov took 5th place in the ranking of the best pro Counter-Strike 2 players of 2025, according to HLTV.org.

The Russian esports athlete's main achievements this year include victories at BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1, PGL Astana 2025, IEM Cologne 2025, and BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2. Sokolov was named EVP at all of the aforementioned tournaments, as well as at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 and StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.

sh1ro's average rating for the year was 1.20. The HLTV.org editorial team recognized Dmitry for his best survival rate, second-best AWP kills per round, one of the best rankings at big events, and much more.

Notably, HLTV.org has been publishing the top 20 Counter-Strike 2 players of the past year every day, starting December 24th. The top three esports athletes will be revealed on January 10th at the HLTV Awards 2025 ceremony. The winner of fourth place will be unveiled tomorrow, January 9th, at 8:00 PM CET. Sixth place in the ranking went to Danil "molodoy" Golubenko.
