NIP disbands women's Counter-Strike 2 team

Swedish esports club NIP announced the disbandment of its NIP Impact roster and the complete closure of its women's Counter-Strike 2 division, which had been active since 2022. The official statement was published on the X social media.

We are proud of the progress we made and the mark we have left. This decision isn’t one we’ve made lightly, but unfortunately due to uncertainties around long term sustainability and consistent opportunities to compete as we enter 2026, it’s the one we have arrived at.

NIP Impact recently finished 3rd-4th in the eighth and final season of the largest female Counter-Strike 2 league – ESL Impact League. The squad currently sits 131st in Valve's global ranking.

 NIP Impact were:

 Kiara "Qiyarah" Janssen
 Naomi "Nayomy" Janssen
Mia "aiM" Cooper
Ksenia "vilga" Kluenkova
Ana "Zana" Queiroz

Jesper "TENZKI" Plougmann (coach)
