ECLOT to temporarily leave CS
Czech esports club ECLOT has announced the temporary closure of its Counter-Strike 2 division, promising to return to the discipline in the future. The organization's current roster will be disbanded at the end of December. The official statement provides the reasons for this decision.
This decision is the result of a thorough analysis and is necessary for us to ensure the long-term stability and future growth of the organization. Key Reasons for the Suspension:
• Economic sustainability and the VRS system: Maintaining a top competitive level requires immense financial investment, which is ineffective within the current non-transparent and volatile VRS ecosystem (offline buy-in tournaments, the end of RMR/MRQ). For many teams, this system is transforming into a model of economic pressure that does not align with our principle of healthy development.
• Condition of the game and scene: We are disappointed with the overall condition of the competitive scene, including the declining quality of the talent pool in our region and persistent issues with cheating.
• The future of Dynamo Eclot: This step backward provides us with the opportunity to focus our energy and resources on building a strong gaming and esports community.
We are not quitting. We are strategically investing in the future to ensure that esports remains entertaining for both you and us. Thank you for your continued support.
Notably, ECLOT failed to qualify for StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 in Hungary. The team currently sits 72nd in Valve's world ranking.
ECLOT are currently:
David "forsyy" Bílý
Vít "nbqq" Pohlot
Martin "Dytor" Handl
Emilis "spardaus" Blažys
Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson
Bruno "replay" Derosa (coach)
