Wildcard benches its entire Counter-Strike 2 roster
North American esports club Wildcard has announced the complete disbandment of its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The official statement was published on the organization's X social media account.
Wildcard has put Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, Love "phzy" Smidebrant, and Josh "JBa" Barutt on the transfer list, and benched Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell. The team's final member, Maciej "F1KU" Miklas, will depart Wildcard at the end of November after his contract expires.
At the time of the disbandment, Wildcard was ranked 75th among the world's top Counter-Strike 2 squads according to Valve. In the official announcement, Wildcard stated that it has no plans to leave the discipline, and further news regarding the club's CS2 division will appear "in the coming days".
