Virtus.pro and NAVI lose their openers at IEM Chengdu 2025

Opening matches of the group stage at IEM Chengdu 2025 in China have concluded, bringing eight teams one step closer to advancing to the final stage.

In the first round of Group A, The MongolZ defeated HEROIC, Astralis bested NAVI, Falcons prevailed over TYLOO, while Team Spirit got the better of paiN. In Group B, FURIA took down Lynn Vision, G2 bested 3DMAX, MOUZ defeated FaZe, while Vitality prevailed over Virtus.pro.

The losing teams dropped to the lower bracket, while the winners advanced to the winners' round, where they will compete for spots in the competition playoffs tomorrow.

Notably, IEM Chengdu 2025 will take place from November 3-9, 2025, in Chengdu, China, with 16 squads participating. The event's prize pool is $300,000. Detailed information about the tournament can be found in our article.
