ALGO kicks three players – they used cheats and played fixed matches
Ukrainian esports organization ALGO announced parting ways with three players of its Counter-Strike 2 team at once – Yuri "hodix" Khodak, Ivan "crickeyyy" Havrylov and Dmytro "jackast" Pashchenko. All three played for the squad for about a month.
This decision was made following an internal investigation into suspicions of "dishonest play". During the investigation, which involved the use of a polygraph, hodix admitted to participating in fixed matches. "Lie detector" tests also showed that crickeyyy and jackast took part in fixed matches and used cheats.
The organization terminated contracts with Ukrainian esports athletes and also announced its intention to appeal to the Esports Ethics Commission (ESIC) "to ensure fair punishment for these players".
Thus, only two players remain in the ALGO Counter-Strike 2 roster at the moment – Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas and Christian "Griller" Veilgaard Skou Sørensen – and coach Oleksandr "Shara" Hordieyev.
