Rumors: YaLLa Esports shuts down due to bankruptcy

Tournament operator YaLLa Esports has published a mysterious message via its X media account, which may indicate that the company has ceased to exist and will no longer host Counter-Strike 2 tournaments.

Dear Counter-Strike community, the YaLLa Compass journey has come to an end. Thanks to each and every one of you who supported us.

According to HLTV.org, citing its own sources, YaLLa Esports has initiated the process of declaring itself bankrupt, while at least one player has already publicly stated that the company has not paid him his prize money.

YaLLa Esports previously held one CS2 LAN event – YaLLa Compass 2024 in Abu Dhabi – which was won by The MongolZ. In April 2025, YaLLa Compass Qatar had to be moved to an online format due to overlaps with MRQ for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 (the tournament prize pool was reduced from $600,000 to $300,000).

The announcement from the TO does not mention YaLLa Compass UAE, which is scheduled to take place in Dubai, UAE, where the company is headquartered, from November 19 to 23 of this year.
