Wildcard benches two players

North American esports club Wildcard has announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster for the first time in a year. The organization benched Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and Love "phzy" Smidebrant. The official statement was published on the X social media.

stanislaw has represented Wildcard since November 2023, while phzy joined the team in July 2024. According to the Swedish esports athlete, the decision to bench him was made by the club, while he himself did not expect such a development.

Smidebrant's average rating over the past three months is 1.16 (in 31 maps), which is the highest among all team members; Jarguz's rating is 0.80.

A few days ago, it was announced that stanislaw was allowed to explore his options on the transfer market during the current off-season. In an official statement from the player's representatives, it was said that he is open to offers as a second caller or coach; the player is also ready to consider options for moving to Europe.

Note that Wildcard placed 25th-27th at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 in the United States. The squad is currently in the top 41 of Valve's world ranking.

Wildcard are:

 Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek
 Josh "JBa" Barutt
 Tim "susp" Ångström

 Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak (coach)
