Eternal Fire IGL arrested on charges of gambling advertising

Member of Eternal Fire's Counter-Strike 2 team Ömer "imoRR" Karataş has been arrested and brought to trial by Turkish authorities along with ten other content makers, Turkish media reported. The arrest was allegedly due to profiting from illegal gambling promotion in the country.

According to the Turkish police investigation, the suspects were broadcasting the opening of cases with Counter-Strike 2 skins on a popular website, which qualifies as gambling advertising. imoRR mentioned the service in a post on his X social media account in 2024, and the website itself has a case with his name. According to Turkish law, the accused could face both a fine and imprisonment.

imoRR began his career as a Counter-Strike pro player back in 2017. From 2021 to 2023, he competed for Eternal Fire, after which he represented the organization as a streamer for two years. In May 2025, he returned to the CS club as a player. Before that, the esports athlete was also part of Sangal. Over the course of his career, he has earned $105,000 in prizes.
