Official: SunPayus and sAw to join G2

HEROIC's Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia will become the new AWPer of G2's Counter-Strike 2 roster. Together with him, HEROIC's head coach Eetu "sAw" Saha will join G2. The Norwegian club officially announced this via its X social media account.

The deal will take place after the end of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, which will be held from June 3 to 22. At the competition in Austin, both squads will play with their current starting fives.

Note that the 26-year-old Spanish esports athlete has represented HEROIC since January of this year; before that, he was part of Falcons. SunPayus' average rating over the past three months is 1.13 (in 63 maps). sAw, in turn, has been coaching the team since December 2023.

Thus, after the end of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, two Poles will depart G2 – Olek "hades" Miskiewicz and Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas. The G2 organization itself has not made any official statements on this matter yet.

Note that hades moved to G2 in mid-April this year – the organization added the player on a loan deal from Monte until the end of June. Miskiewicz replaced Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, who moved to Falcons.
