fnatic part ways with coach
British esports organization fnatic has officially announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster. The club has benched the team's coach Peter "casle" Ardenskjold. The statement was published on fnatic's X social media account.
Following internal reviews and discussions with casle regarding the team’s long-term structure and direction, he will be moved to the inactive roster.
Peter joined during a transitional phase and approached the role with professionalism, commitment, and a clear focus on team development. As the team continues to evolve its leadership model, this change reflects a strategic shift in coaching direction. We want to thank Peter for his contributions during his time with the team and will support him in his next endeavour.
The 38-year-old Danish esports athlete joined fnatic's squad in January of this year. Before that, he worked with Gaimin Gladiators, Astralis, and other teams.
The coaching duties at fnatic will be temporarily taken on by Latvian Miks "Independent" Siliņš, who has been an assistant coach for the team for the past year.
fnatic are now:
Matúš "MATYS" Šimko
Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
Rodion "fear" Smyk
Dmytro "jambo" Semera
Freddy "KRiMZ" Johansson
