Rumors: SunPayus and sAw to join G2

According to unofficial information, 26-year-old Spanish esports athlete Álvaro "SunPayus" García may take over as the new AWPer of G2's Counter-Strike 2 roster. Sheep Esports reported this, citing its own sources.

Note that since January of this year, Garcia has been representing HEROIC; before that, he was part of Falcons. The Spaniard's average rating over the past three months is 1.16 (in 68 maps).

Moreover, according to media reports, the head coach of HEROIC, Eetu "sAw" Saha, will join the G2 roster along with SunPayus. According to rumors, both esports athletes have already verbally agreed to the transfer, while the clubs have agreed on the buyout sum. The deal is expected to take place after BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.

Notably, in mid-April, Olek "⁠hades⁠" Miskiewicz joined G2's CS2 squad – the organization leased the player from Monte until the end of June this year. hades⁠ replaced Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, who moved to Falcons.
