Rumors: Astralis owners may sell club and CS roster

According to unofficial information, former NIP COO Jonas "calc" Gundersen has expressed interest in purchasing the Danish esports club Astralis. Dust2.dk reported this, citing its own sources.

It is not yet known how far the negotiations with Gundersen have progressed. The media also has no information about other potential buyers. The expected sale price of Astralis is estimated at approximately $2-3 million (what exactly this amount includes, however, is unknown).

A few days ago, Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov revealed via his personal Telegram channel that Astralis is on the verge of bankruptcy. According to Birukov, the organization will either close or be sold to new owners. "There is a high probability that Astralis will compete under a different name in Astana!" – OverDrive added yesterday.

Note that the squad lost the regional European qualifier for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 – thus, Astralis will miss the fifth Counter-Strike Major in a row. After that, the club announced changes to its CS2 roster: Casper "cadiaN" Møller departed the team; Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen joined the lineup as a stand-in.
