YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 to play out online
Tournament operator YaLLa has officially announced that the upcoming YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 event will take place online (on European servers). Initially, the organizers planned to hold the competition in Doha, Qatar.
According to the official statement from YaLLa, this change was approved by Valve, while the tournament will retain its rating status. The prize pool will remain the same – $300,000.
This decision was made after extensive efforts to preserve the original LAN format and navigate the increasingly congested international tournament calendar.
With multiple events now overlapping in close proximity, the pressure on teams and operations made a full-scale offline execution no longer viable without compromising the quality or fairness of the competition.
YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 overlapped with the regional qualifier for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2025, which is why many teams planning to participate in the YaLLa event would probably refuse to travel to Qatar. Among them are Astralis, BetBoom Team, Complexity, Nemiga, ENCE and 9 Pandas.
YaLLa Compass 2025 Qatar will play out from April 16th to 19th with 12 squads (6 of which were directly invited). The current team list looks as follows:
Eternal Fire
Astralis
paiN
Virtus.pro
3DMAX
MIBR
BetBoom Team
9 Pandas
Nemiga
Partizan
ENCE
