ATOX disqualified from ESL Challenger League and banned from ESL tournaments

Mongolian team ATOX has been banned from all ESL championships, including the ongoing, 49th season of the ESL Challenger League. The results of all past and future ATOX matches on the ECL have been annulled. The tournament operator announced this via its X social media account.

The reason for the disqualification is that ATOX players were preliminary/temporarily disqualified from all Counter-Strike 2 events that cooperate with the Esports Ethics Commission (ESIC). Earlier, BLAST and PGL made the same decision regarding the team.

Last week, insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov reported via his Telegram channel that if ATOX fails to "explain itself to ESIC" by March 12, the commission will officially announce the team's ban on March 13. ESIC has not made any statements on this matter yet.
