PGL postpones qualifiers for PGL Bucharest 2025

Tournament operator PGL announced the postponement of the closed qualifiers for the upcoming PGL Bucharest 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament to later dates. The competitions in question are qualifiers in Europe, North and South America. The new dates for the event will be announced on March 4. The company reported this via its X social media account.

PGL Bucharest 2025: We are refining the invitation process to ensure consistency and fairness for all teams. These adjustments, made to better comply with the Tournament Operations Requirements, have led to the rescheduling of the EU, SA, and NA qualifiers. We will provide updated information on March 4.

Earlier, all participants of the closed European qualifier for PGL Bucharest 2025 were determined. Eight squads made it to the closed qualifier through open qualifiers. Another 24 rosters received invites based on Valve's ranking. The qualifiers were initially scheduled for February 28 – March 8. The tournament itself will be held from April 5 to 13 in the capital of Romania. The prize pool of the event will amount to $1.25 million.
