Details of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 qualifiers revealed – they will be held online

Organizers of the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 in Counter-Strike 2 have shared new details about the Major Regional Qualifiers.

The qualifiers in all regions (Europe, Americas, Asia) will be held online. At the same time, the competitions in Americas and Asia will take place in separate sub-regions (North America, South America, Mongolia and West Asia, China, Oceania and Southeast Asia).

The invites to the qualifiers will be determined based on Valve's ranking on April 7 this year. 16 squads will receive direct invites to the later stages of the Major. The distribution of slots by region looks as follows.

In Europe, the top 10 rosters from the European ranking will be issued direct invites:

1st-6th place – to Stage 3
7th-10th place – to Stage 2

In Americas, the top 5 teams from the American ranking will secure direct invites:

1st place – to Stage 3
2nd-5th place – to Stage 2

In Asia, 1 squad from the Asian ranking will receive a direct invite to Stage 3.

16 teams will kick off their journey from the first stage of the Major, passing through MRQ: 6 rosters from Europe, 6 squads from Americas, 4 teams from Asia. Qualifiers will play out from April 14 to 17. In Europe, the Swiss system will be used, in Americas – GSL, while in Asia – Double Elimination.

BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 will take place from June 3 to 22, 2025 in Austin, Texas. The prize pool of the tournament will amount to $1.25 million, which will be divided among 32 squads.
