HEROIC hires new performance coach

Norwegian esports organization HEROIC has strengthened its coaching staff: Jens Hofer has taken over as the performance coach for the club's Counter-Strike 2 squad. Hofer himself wrote about this via his X social media account.

Excited to share that I’ve taken on the role of full-time Performance Coach for HEROIC CS2 team! I previously worked with the Dota 2 team in 2024 and now am looking forward to helping this new roster reach its full potential.

From 2019 to 2023, Jens fulfilled sports psychologist role for fnatic.

Note that last month, HEROIC decided on the starting five that will represent the organization in the new Counter-Strike 2 competitive season. The team members are Álvaro "SunPayus" García, Andrey "tN1R" Tatarinovich, Linus "LNZ⁠" Holtäng, Simon "yxngstxr" Boije, and Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç.

HEROIC placed 5th-8th at BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 and finished second to last at IEM Katowice 2025. The squad currently occupies 21st place in HLTV.org ranking.
