The MongolZ knock Eternal Fire out of IEM Katowice 2025

One more team finished their journey at the IEM Katowice 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournament, which is taking place in Poland, today.

In the first round of the playoffs, Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli's squaf lost to The MongolZ with a scoreline of 0:2 (7:13 on Anubis, 18:22 on Mirage) and left the competition.

The Byambasuren "bLitz" Garidmargnai-led roster advanced to the semi-finals of the bracket, where they will face Vitality in the matchup for a spot in the final of IEM Katowice 2025. Eternal Fire, in turn, secured 5th-6th place at the tournament and earned $40,000 in prize money.

Today, the organizers of IEM Katowice 2025 have scheduled another match: Team Spirit will face Virtus.pro in a match for reaching the top 4 of the event. It kicks off at 19:00 CET and will be BO3. The semi-final games will take place on February 8.
