G2 and 3DMAX eliminated from IEM Katowice 2025
Two more teams have finished their journey at IEM Katowice 2025 based on the results of today's tournament playday.
In the second round of the lower bracket, G2 lost to FaZe (13:16 on Ancient, 13:10 on Inferno, 8:13 on Nuke), while 3DMAX was defeated by Eternal Fire (13:4 on Inferno, 13:16 on Anubis, 10:13 on Dust2). The losing squads shared 9th-12th place in the competition and earned $16,000 in prize money each. The winners advanced to the final losers' round of Group A, where they will face off for a slot in the playoffs tomorrow.
Notably, IEM Katowice 2025 is taking place from January 29 to February 9 in Katowice, Poland. The prize pool of the event is one million US dollars, which will be divided among 24 rosters. All the details about the tournament can be found in our article.
