Indian company acquires StarLadder for $5.5 million
Indian company NODWIN Gaming announced the acquisition of tournament operator StarLadder for five and a half million US dollars. According to the official statement, StarLadder will retain its identity and continue to hold esports events. The company will still be managed by its founder Roman Romantsov.
Note that a few days ago, StarLadder announced the cancellation of the 19th season of StarSeries, which was originally scheduled for the period from May 26 to June 1, 2025. This decision was made due to the increase in the duration of the Austin Major, caused by the expansion of the number of participants from 24 to 32 squads.
Thus, the company will hold only one Counter-Strike 2 tournament in 2025, namely the 20th season of StarSeries. It will take place from September 13 to 21 in Budapest, Hungary, with the participation of 16 rosters.
