Eternal Fire, 3DMAX and GamerLegion advance to next stage of IEM Katowice 2025
Second playday of the IEM Katowice 2025 tournament in Poland has ended, with three teams getting eliminated from the competition, while the other three advanced to the next stage.
In the lower bracket of the Play-In stage, SAW was defeated by Virtus.pro (4:13 on Dust2, 3:13 on Inferno), FlyQuest lost to Astralis (13:5 on Train, 7:13 on Ancient, 11:13 on Inferno), while Imperial fe fell to BIG (4:13 on Inferno, 5:13 on Ancient). The losing teams were relegated from the event, while the winners advanced to the decisive losers' round.
In the upper bracket, GamerLegion bested paiN (13:3 on Inferno, 13:5 on Mirage), 3DMAX prevailed over MIBR (19:16 on Inferno, 13:5 on Nuke), while Eternal Fire defeated HEROIC (13:11 on Nuke, 16:14 on Anubis). The winners advanced to the group stage of the competition, while the losers dropped to the lower bracket of Play-In.
