YaLLa organizers update tournament regulations to comply with Valve's requirements
YaLLa Compass organizers have updated the rules for their tournaments scheduled for 2025 and 2026 to comply with Valve's official requirements, which came into effect at the beginning of 2025.
The tournament operator made this decision after Counter-Strike 2 developers took away the ranked status from YaLLa Compass Winter Contenders (as well as from the CCT series events). The reason for this decision was certain filters that the company used when issuing invites. As a result, several squads that should have been invited based on Valve's rules, were left out of the competition.
Thus, the ongoing YaLLa Compass Winter Contenders event will continue as an unranked event, but the mechanism for issuing invites for upcoming YaLLa tournaments has been brought into line with Valve's requirements, meaning that invites will be issued based on the official ranking.
