9z unveils new coach

32-year-old Brazilian esports athlete Gustavo "yel" Knittel has taken over as the new coach of 9z's Counter-Strike 2 roster. The organization officially announced this via its X social media account.

Knittel replaced Gustavo "tge" Motta, who has been on 9z's bench since December of last year. In 2024, yel coached KRÜ for about six months.

Note that on January 19, 9z announced the addition of Luca "Luken" Nadotti to its starting five – he replaced Nicolás "buda" Kramer, whom the organization benched back in December. Luca had already competed for 9z in the past (in 2019).

9z secured 9th-11th place in the Americas RMR for Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 and did not qualify for the Shanghai Counter-Strike 2 Major. The roster currently occupies 28th place in HLTV ranking.

9z's current lineup looks as follows:

 Franco "dgt" Garcia
 Maximilian "max" Gonzalez
 Matias "HUASOPEEK" Ibañez Hernandez
 Antonio "MartinezSa" Martinez
 Luca "Luken" Nadotti

 Gustavo "yel" Knittel (coach)
