M80's player to miss start of season due to broken leg; k1to to replace him

M80's Ethan "reck" Serrano will miss the start of the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 competitive season due to a broken leg, the organization reported to Dust2.us.

"Airlines won't accept someone with a broken leg without a doctor's go-ahead. Nothing he can do unfortunately", – Serrano's teammate Michael "Swisher" Schmid explained.

Until reck can fly to Europe and reunite with his teammates, M80 will replace him with Nils "k1to" Gruhne, who was benched by OG from August to December 2024 and became a free agent on January 1.

It is not yet known how long Serrano will be absent from the starting five, but he will definitely not be able to compete in the first M80 tournament in 2025 – BLAST Bounty Season 1 – which kicks off on January 14. Presumably, the esports athlete will be back in action for ESL Pro League Season 21 in March.

M80 are now:

 Michael "Swisher" Schmid
 Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich
 Elias "s1n" Stein
 Mason "Lake" Sanderson
 Nils "k1to" Gruhne (stand-in)

 Rory "dephh" Jackson (coach)
