s-chilla departs Passion UA
Ukrainian esports club Passion UA announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster before the start of the new competitive season. Vsevolod "s-chilla" Shchurov departed the team.
According to the official statement, the 19-year-old Ukrainian player decided to take a break from competing due to burnout. Shchurov himself explained his decision as follows:
It wasn’t sudden. Last summer, when we were playing, even before the RMR, I realized this routine, everything that was happening around me -- I didn’t like it. From May to August, I knew I didn’t want to continue living like that, I wanted to change something. I don’t know if it will be a good or bad decision, but I just want to try and then we will see. But this is my decision.
This is my problem. We all tried to do our best, but this routine doesn’t fit me personally and I want to improve in other areas of my life and take a break.
When I decided I would take a break, I understood I would still need to give my all, help the boys because they deserved it. I wanted to help them as best as I could, but they need a fully motivated teammate, someone better mechanically than me, or someone with a better character than me.
s-chilla has been competing for Passion UA since August 2023. The average rating of the esports athlete over the past three months amounted to 0.99 (in 66 maps). It is still unknown who will get his place in the roster.
Passion UA took 17th-19th place at the recent Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 in Shanghai and earned $10,000 in prize money. The squad currently occupies 25th place in HLTV ranking.
Passion UA are now:
Rodion "fear" Smyk
Dmytro "jambo" Semera
Nikita "jackasmo" Skyba
Eduard "zeRRoFIX" Petrovskyi
Mikhaylo "Kane" Blagin (coach)
