OverDrive: fear to join fnatic

According to unofficial information, in-game leader of the Ukrainian team Passion UA Rodion "fear" Smyk will become a new member of fnatic's Counter-Strike 2 roster, whose IGL is currently Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro.

Insider and scout Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov reported this on his Telegram channel. "The only reason why fear will not join fnatic is if he refuses himself. The organizations have come to an agreement", Birukov added. The organizations have not yet confirmed this information.

The 24-year-old Ukrainian esports athlete has been competing for Passion UA since February of this year. With him, the team placed 17th-19th at the recent Major in Shanghai. Smyk's average rating over the past three months is 1.06 (in 80 maps).

Note that a couple of weeks ago fnatic revealed a change in its CS2 roster: the squad bid farewell to coach Jamie "keita" Hall, who worked with fnatic for over three years. The club has not yet found a replacement for him.

fnatic took the last place at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 in China and earned $10,000 in prize money. The roster currently occupies 28th place among the world's best Counter-Strike 2 teams according to HLTV.
