HLTV: m0NESY to stay in G2

Russian esports athlete Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov will most likely remain in G2 next year. HLTV reported this, citing its own sources.

According to media reports, Osipov considered an offer from the Saudi organization Falcons, to which his teammate Nikola "NiKo" Kovač is supposed to move, but apparently decided to stay in G2 – at least until the end of the first half of 2025. At the same time, m0NESY's contract with the European club, according to rumors, will expire at the end of 2024.

Earlier, G2 CEO Alban Dechelotte essentially confirmed the rumor that NiKo would leave the team and join the Falcons Counter-Strike 2 roster. The organization's head also spoke about m0NESY's future, emphasising on his key role in the team and the presence of a active contract with G2.

Note that G2 lost to FaZe with a scoreline of 0:2 in the semi-finals of the Shanghai Counter-Strike 2 Major. Thus, Pogorzelsky's squad finished the tournament in 3rd-4th place and earned $80,000 in prize money.
