donk becomes youngest winner and MVP of Major in CS history

Team Spirit's star Counter-Strike 2 player Danil "donk" Kryshkovets became the youngest winner of a Major in the history of CS. The Russian esports athlete won Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 at the age of 17 years and 324 days.

Previously, this record belonged to Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye, who won ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017 as part of Astralis – the Dane was 18 years and 277 days old then.

In addition, donk became the youngest MVP of a Major, breaking the record of the same Kjærbye at the aforementioned Major in Atlanta.

Finally, the Team Spirit player set a new record for the number of aces at one Major (four). Previously, the record holder for this stat was Egor "flamie" Vasilyev, who aced three times at IEM Katowice 2019.

Note that Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 was held from November 30 to December 15 in Shanghai, China. The total prize pool of the tournament amounted to $1.25 million, which was divided between 24 squads. In the final, Team Spirit bested FaZe with a scoreline of 2:1.
