Janusz "⁠Snax" Pogorzelski's team became the third semi-finalist of the Shanghai Counter-Strike 2 Major. In the first round of the playoff bracket, G2 bested HEROIC with a scoreline of 2:1 – 6:13 on Ancient, 13:9 on Nuke, 16:13 on Mirage.

Thus, the Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski-led roster finished the tournament in 5th-8th place and earned $45,000 in prize money. G2, in turn, secured at least 3rd-4th place at the event.

The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 organizers have scheduled one more match for today: at 10:30 CET, Vitality will face FaZe in a matchup for a ticket to the semi-finals.
