Team Spirit suspends its women's roster
Esports organization Team Spirit has announced the suspension of its women's Counter-Strike 2 squad. "At the moment, work in this direction does not look expedient from neither economic, media nor sport points of view", the club's official statement claims.
Team Spirit CEO Nikita Chukalin commented on the announcement as follows:
Today we are freezing our CS2 Female project. Unfortunately, our expectations from the development of the industry and our own sports results have not been fulfilled, which was the main reason for this decision. We are grateful to all the girls who have defended our colours during these two years and wish them success in future teams. Our potential return to this project will depend directly on whether the women's division gets more development in terms of the amount of tournaments and the level of attention it receives.
Team Spirit opened a female CS division in March 2023. Over the course of its existence, Team Spirit fe has earned less than $10,000 in prizes. The team currently occupies 200th place in HLTV ranking; at its peak, the squad was in the top 184.
Ex-Team Spirit fe are:
Dzhamilya "Jammie" Alagozova
Maria "uulis" Vasilkova
Anastasia "AverOna" Shevchenko
Veronika "Rony4ka" Munazypova
Anastasiya "kr4sy" Khlobystina
