First playday of Elimination Stage at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 has ended, determining the first candidates for elimination and for qualifying for the playoffs of the tournament.

The following teams secured victories in the matches of the second round of the Elimination Stage: Vitality, The MongolZ, MIBR, HEROIC, Liquid, Team Spirit, G2, and 3DMAX – they bested FURIA, MOUZ, NAVI, FaZe, GamerLegion, Wildcard, BIG, and paiN, respectively.

Thus, four squads finished the first day of the second stage of the event with a 2:0 record – The MongolZ, MIBR, Vitality, and HEROIC. Four rosters, on the contrary, kicked off the Elimination Stage with two losses in a row – GamerLegion, Wildcard, BIG, and paiN. The remaining participants currently have one win and one defeat in the standings – FaZe, NAVI, FURIA, MOUZ, G2, Team Spirit and Liquid.

The matchups of the third round of the Elimination Stage are scheduled for tomorrow. The participants will be divided into three pools by the number of wins and losses (2:0, 1:1, 0:2); the teams will face only the opponents from their pool. Note that the eight strongest teams will advance to the Major playoffs.
