First members of HLTV Hall of Fame revealed

HLTV.org has officially unveiled first members of the Counter-Strike Hall of Fame. It includes four Swedes: Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, Emil "HeatoN" Christensen and Tommy "Potti" Ingemarsson. The formal award ceremony will take place at HLTV Awards on January 11, 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia.

Note that a few days ago, HLTV unveiled a list of twelve nominees for inclusion in its own Hall of Fame – it featured Kenny "kennyS" Schrub, Yegor "markeloff" Markelov, Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer and others.

The nominees were put forward by a special committee. Each committee member then voted for five candidates, ranking them from first to fifth, awarding them five to one point respectively. The aforementioned Swedish esports athletes ended up receiving the most votes.

Each player/coach inducted into the Hall of Fame will receive a special Rolex watch, a unique HLTV profile, and a mention on the new Hall of Fame page. The HLTV Hall of Fame is only open to players and coaches who are no longer competing on the CS pro scene. Three to five people will be added to it each year.
