FURIA, paiN and GamerLegion advance to next stage of Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024

Third playday of the Shanghai Counter-Strike 2 Major has ended, having determined three more participants of the second stage of the tournament.

In the decisive matches for reaching the Elimination Stage, FURIA bested BIG (5:13 on Nuke, 13:11 on Mirage, 13:3 on Dust2), paiN defeated FlyQuest (16:14 on Vertigo, 13:6 on Inferno), while GamerLegion prevailed over Passion UA (13:6 on Inferno, 5:13 on Mirage, 13:9 on Ancient).

Moreover, three more squads finished their journey at the event today: in the knockout matches, Rare Atom lost to MIBR (9:13 on Inferno, 13:11 on Anubis, 4:13 on Ancient), Cloud9 got defeated by Complexity (13:16 on Vertigo, 8:13 on Ancient), while Virtus.pro suffered a loss from Wildcard (13:10 on Ancient, 7:13 on Inferno, 8:13 on Anubis). The losing teams shared 20th-22th places and received $10,000 in prizes.

The matchups of the fifth and final round of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Opening Stage will play out tomorrow, December 3 – the teams will fight for the last three slots at the Elimination Stage.
