Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 viewer's guide

Second Counter-Strike 2 Major, Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, will be held in Shanghai, China, from November 30 to December 15. The tournament will traditionally be divided into three stages: Opening Stage, Elimination Stage, and playoffs. The total prize pool of the event will amount to $1.25 million.

The first stage of the event (Opening Stage) will take place from November 30 to December 3 in a Swiss system with BO1 matches; matches for advancing to the next stage or for survival at the tournament will be BO3. The eight strongest squads will advance to the Elimination Stage, while the rest of the rosters will get relegated from the competition.

The second stage of Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, Elimination Stage, will play out from December 5 to 8 in the same system. The eight strongest participants will qualify for the playoffs, which, in turn, will be held in a Single Elimination format from December 12 to 15. All matches of the final stage of the tournament, including the final, will be BO3.
