Participants of Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 second stage announced

Valve has released an update to the official ranking of the best Counter-Strike 2 teams in the world ahead of the Shanghai Major.

Based on the current ranking, eight representatives of the European region were determined, which will kick off their journey at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 right from the second stage (Elimination Stage). The remaining six squads from Europe will compete in the Opening Stage against those from the American and Asian RMR tournaments.

Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be held from November 30 to December 15 in Shanghai, China. The competition will feature a total prize pool of $1.25 million, which will be divided among 24 teams. The full team list for the event can be found below.

Based on the current ranking, the matchups in the first round of the Swiss system in the Opening Stage were also determined (the the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 organizers themselves have not yet officially confirmed this information).
