Aleksib and ZywOo nominated for title of Best Esports Athlete by The Game Awards

The organizers of the annual award The Game Awards have revealed all the nominees in the category of Best Esports Athlete of 2024 – six pro players from three different disciplines are competing for this title.

Two representatives of Counter-Strike 2 were nominated – Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut. Among the contenders for the award are Neta "33" Shapira from Dota 2, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon from League of Legends, as well as Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang from VALORANT.

The winner in the category will be determined by the results of an open audience vote, as well as the choice of the jury. You can vote on the official website of The Game Awards. The results will be announced on December 12 during a live broadcast, while the ceremony itself will take place in Los Angeles. Last year, Faker was named the best esports athlete.
