FURIA CEO reveals how much club paid for FalleN's transfer

FURIA CEO Jaime Padua revealed how much the organization paid for Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's transfer last July. According to Padua, the transfer costed about $600,000. FURIA CEO noted that this investment had a positive impact on the tag's popularity.

It was our biggest signing (...) For the world of electronic sports, this is a significant amount. It doesn't compare to football figures yet, but at some point it will come close. It was a very high investment and it changed our audience and visibility levels.

Note that before joining FURIA, Toledo competed for Imperial for a year and a half, while even earlier represented Liquid, MIBR, SK and other teams. Over the course of his career as a Counter-Strike pro player, which has lasted over twenty years, the Brazilian esports athlete has earned $1.2 million in prize money.
