Falcons and Eternal Fire knocked out of ESL Challenger Katowice 2024
Group stage of the LAN tournament ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 has ended in Katowice, Poland, with three more teams getting relegated from the competition.
In Group A, Falcons and Eternal Fire were knocked out, while Legacy and MIBR were eliminated in the parallel quartet. Falcons lost to Eternal Fire today (12:16 on Dust2, 4:13 on Inferno), Legacy were defeated by Monte (13:16 on Anubis, 13:6 on Mirage, 1:13 on Ancient), while Eternal Fire suffered a loss against B8 (9:13 on Mirage, 17:19 on Anubis).
Eternal Fire and Legacy earned $3,000 each for 5th-6th place, while Falcons and MIBR shared the last place, receiving $2,000 in prizes each. All other participants of the event advanced to the next stage.
In the first round of the playoffs, which will be held in a Single Elimination format, SAW will face Monte, while paiN will compete against B8. The final stage matchups of the event, including the final, will play out on October 27 in a BO3 format. Note that the winner of ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 will secure a slot at ESL Pro League Season 21.
