NAVI knock Virtus.pro out of IEM Rio 2024

Today, one more team finished their journey at the IEM Rio 2024 Counter-Strike 2 tournament, which is taking place in Brazil.

In the first round of the playoffs, Dzhami "Jame" Ali's squad lost to NAVI with a scoreline of 0:2 (4:13 on Inferno, 11:13 on Ancient) and got relegated from the competition.

The Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen-led roster advanced to the semi-finals of the bracket, where they will face HEROIC in a fight for a spot in the final of IEM Rio 2024. Virtus.pro, in turn, placed 5th-6th at the event and earned $10,000 in prize money.

The organizers of IEM Rio 2024 have scheduled another matchup for today: Vitality will face MOUZ in a match for reaching the top 4 of the competition. It will kick off at 20:15 CEST and will be a BO3 series. The games in the semi-finals will play out on October 12.
