SAW benches arrozdoce – club has already found replacement for player

Portuguese esports club SAW has revealed a replacement in its Counter-Strike 2 roster – Rafael "arrozdoce" Wing has departed the team. The announcement was published on the organization's X social media account.

According to the official statement, arrozdoce informed the club of his intention to part ways with the team by the end of the year, and SAW has decided to bench Wing. Rafael has represented SAW for the past year and a half – since April 2023.

The vacant position in the starting five has been filled by André "Ag1l" Gil, whom the team has registered as a sixth man for the upcoming Shanghai Major RMR. Before that, Gil competed for Rhyno. The esportsman athlete recorded an average rating of 1.02 over the past three months (in 84 maps).

SAW's updated roster will debut at the upcoming ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 tournament, which will be held from October 25 to 27 in Katowice, Poland. The total prize pool of the event will amount to $100,000.

Note that the team placed 3rd-4th at the recent ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024 and entered the top four at IEM Cologne 2024. Currently, SAW occupies 11th place in HLTV ranking.
