Eternal Fire and Astralis eliminated from IEM Rio 2024

Astralis and Eternal Fire have finished their journey at the IEM Rio 2024 LAN tournament in Brazil. The teams shared 9th-12th place and received $5,000 in prize money.

In the second round of the lower bracket of Group B, Casper "cadiaN" Møller's team lost to Virtus.pro (16:19 on Ancient, 9:13 on Mirage), while the Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli-led roster was defeated by The MongolZ (2:13 on Anubis, 13:8 on Mirage, 4:13 on Inferno). The winners advanced to the losers' final, where they will face off today for a spot in the event playoffs.

The final playday of the IEM Rio 2024 group stage will continue with matchups between NAVI and FURIA, HEROIC and Vitality. All four squads have already secured tickets to the playoffs, but the winners of these matches will advance straight to the semi-finals of the bracket.
